DESIGN ENGINEER

A Research & Development (R&D) Engineer leads the design, prototyping, and testing of innovative products or processes, transforming conceptual ideas into functional, market-ready solutions. They drive technical innovation, manage project lifecycles, and mentor junior engineers, utilizing expertise in engineering principles, simulation tools, and regulatory standards to improve performance and quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Study any development submitted by the factory's departments/sections/persons in coordination with the concerned departments in the factory and implement this development in the case of its contribution to improving the products or reducing the cost, etc. for any of the followings activities

·      i. A new materials and new suppliers.

·      ii. New grade of material from an approved vendor.

·      iii. New or modifications in process / setting parameters.

·      iv. New or modifications in machine/tools.

·      Allocating trial number, Keeping Track of trial and updating the same.

·      Checking supplier DATA sheet in consultation with QC & OP as and when required by Purchase (PU) department.

·      Preparation and updation of Material Specifications.

·      Preparation and updation of Conductor Specifications, Quality Assurance Plan and Work Specifications.

·      Operational responsibility for Design and development of products, review of design inputs, verification and controlled issue of design outputs, maintaining all records of design and development activity.

·      Continual development of cables designs till reaching to the optimal design.
Supports the development of products through knowledge of the International standard specification and the customer requirements.

  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

·         B.Sc. / B.Tech in Engineering or related studies

·         Minimum of 5-7  years experience preferably in cable industry

·         Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with the team and management at all levels.

·         Reasonable presentation skills and ability to provide/receive training.

Excellent written communication skills.
